Policies

About this section: PoliciesRules for what guests, members, and paying customers see.

Purpose

A policy says what each audience experiences for a piece of content: full access, a short preview, a login prompt, an upgrade prompt, or fully blocked. Attach a policy to a package so the package's content uses these rules.

Key fields

  • Code: A short internal name for the policy.
  • Guest Mode: What people who are not logged in see.
  • Member Mode: What logged-in customers without this package see.
  • Paying Mode: What customers who own this package see.
  • Block / Cooldown Time: Optional waiting time before a blocked guest can try again.

Example

For premium videos, give guests a short preview, ask members to upgrade, and give paying customers full access.

Consequences

  • A strict guest setting can reduce previews and discovery.
  • A loose member setting can show more than you intended if your package settings are wrong.
