About this section: Content GroupsThe top-level buckets your editorial team uses to organize content.
Purpose
Groups are how you organize a site's content for editors. They aren't customer-facing menus by themselves â they help with ownership, sorting, and default access settings.
Key fields
- Code: A short internal name for the group.
- Name and URL: The friendly name and URL piece used on the site.
- Sort Order: A number to control the order groups appear in.
- Published: Whether the group is ready to be visible.
- Status: Active, Inactive, or Archived.
Example
Create a Photos group for a site, then add categories like Outdoor, Studio, and Events under it.
Consequences
- Categories must live inside a group.
- Don't use groups as the customer menu â they're for editors.
